This accomplished shell-set only serves to prove why Tama are so good when it comes to playing around with materials to shape a particular tone. Each of these three WBR30RS-ROY Starclassic hybrid shells are made from a birch outer layer that encompasses a walnut interior layer. The use of birch brings bright attack and defined punch, while the walnut finishes it off with roundness and warmth. This shell set comes with a 12 x 8-inch tom, 14 x 14-inch floor tom, and a 10 x 14-inch kick drum, all wrapped up in a swirling Oyster Red finish.

The Tama WBR30RS-ROY Starclassic

Both the high tom and floor tom have a 6mm thick shell made up of four outer layers of birch and two inner layers of walnut, and the kick drum shell is 8mm thick with five birch outer layers and two walnut inner layers. The 12-inch tom is supported by the Star-Cast Mounting System and a Quick-Lock bracket for secure mounting, while each shell has been fitted with Die-Cast hoops and Evans-made heads. To complete the pack, a set of floor tom legs and a Tama MTH1000S Single Tom Holder are also helpfully provided.
